  • What questions will be asked during the study?
    In this research, we will present several statements for which participants can respond with the click of a button. A possible question can be: Rate the following statement on a scale from 1 to 5: "I have everything under control"
  • What do I need to do?
    Register as a participant. You will receive the research version of WorkMove (vitality software). Install the Work&Move software. This research version of Work &Move will daily propose a statement for 3 months. This will be visible via a pop-up. By answering the question, the pop-up disappears.
  • What results can you expect as participating company?
    As a participating organization, you receive an extensive analysis with insightful information about the mental wellbeing of participating employees. Naturally, this information can not be traced back to individual employees, but does provide fruitful and reliable insights in both weak and strong points from the organization.
  • What is the goal of this study?
    Stress-related diseases such as burnouts have a devastating effect on society and a healthy work environment. Research has shown that regularly scheduled breaks can prevent stress-related diseases and influence performance and work comfort. With this research we aim to discover what the best moments are to propose a break.
  • How will we determine which statements will be presented to the participant?
    The order of statements is completely random. Based on active working hours, a moment shall be selected to present the statement. Behavioral patterns will therefore not be used to determine and present certain statements.
  • Who can participate?
    Participants have to meet two requirements: participants work at least a few hours a day with the same computer; the computer runs a version of Windows or MacOS.
  • What about your privacy?
    The research is conducted in line with the Dutch AVG privacy legislation. Collected data can not be traced back to an individual. All data is anonymized Keypress events and mouse behavior will be saved during the event. From this data, it can not be traced what a user does on a computer. By participating in the research participants agree to their data being processed safely.
  • Who is conducting the study?
    The study is conducted by Intense. We are aided by our research partners: Bakker Elkhuizen and the Technical University of Eindhoven. Intense is a spin-off from the TU Eindhoven, that specializes in analyzing the rhythm of keyboard presses and mouse movements. Bakker Elkhuizen is specialized in developing high-end ergonomics applications, that contribute to the physical and mental wellbeing of computer users. Eindhoven University of Technology is a research-driven university with a strong focus on excellent education and research in the exact sciences.
  • What is expected of a participating company?
    Help in finding a sufficient number of participants. The research is completely free. There are also no further obligations tied to joining this research.
